The year is coming to an end with some strange events, meaning weather. Record rains March, April & May followed by a hot and dry June, July & August. That’s Mother Nature, nothing we can do about it.
Congratulations to our Club Champions and winners of many special events. Speaking of events, we added the Ryder Cup in October which was a huge success thanks to all who competed. In 2012 we are going to add a number of monthly membership fun events on a Sat. or Sun. We want to be a friendlier member course.
The economy being somewhat tough we have made some changes. Tom Fledderman has taken charge of the course and maintenance and has done and is still doing a great job. We have several turf grass experts advising us as to our turf grass needs. We had planned on changing our fairways to Riviera Bermuda grass this past spring but the wet weather cancelled our plans so hopefully this spring we will begin our fairway improvement program. Doing certain areas so we can keep play going with very little disturbance.
We have our 2012 Membership Application with some special opportunities. As you will note, we have not raised our dues this year.
Now the specials: Pay your dues by Dec. 31st and you will receive a $50 gift certificate to be used for carts, range, and handicap card or give it as a gift. Pay by Jan. 31st and you will receive a $25 gift certificate to be used the same way.
